UBX partners with MediCard to enhance health access, convenience
UBX, the Philippines’ driver of digital transformation in the Philippines, has forged astrategic partnership agreement with health maintenance organization (HMO) company MediCard Philippines, Inc. to democratize health access further while providing greater convenience to members.
Under the partnership deal, MediCard will leverage UBX’s end-to-end payment gateway,BUx, and the transact-now-pay-later solution, Splix. This will enable MediCard tostreamline premium payment collections while providing members with more flexible payment options for their healthcare coverage.

Tailored to enhance the customer experience of MediCard members, the partnership aims to provide unparalleled convenience in acquiring health coverage products.
Through BUx, MediCard members can now pay for their coverage through payment channels such as online banking, credit/debit card payments, e-wallets, and over-the-counter transactions.
BUx also has an expansive network of over 50,000 touchpoints, including pawn shops, department stores, and rural banks.
Members may also leverage the insure-now-pay-later solution of UBX called Splix. This provides them greater flexibility in managing their finances without sacrificing healthcare.
